How much can a home really cost over 30 years?

New Video HERE

How much does a home really cost over 30 years?

Thought the condo i was looking at would cost $542,000, after 30 years, will actually, in full, cost $1.2 Million!!!

I looked up how much the interest would be over 30 years at 3% and I am shocked. bankrate.com has an easy Amortization Calculator, which breaks down monthly payments and interest costs, and tells you the total interest you will end up paying. Redfin can estimate for you how much insurance and taxes will cost. Bankrate doesn’t add in Mello Roos, Taxes, or HOA, so I am going to do that here.

It's Money Monday, so we are taking a look.

Would you rather have a 14 Bedroom/15.5 Bathroom Bed & Breakfast (mini hotel) for $675,000 or a 3 Bedroom/2 Bath House?

What about for $200,000? Would you rather get a 4 Bedroom/4Bathroom House with 2,700 Square Feet, or a 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Mobile Home?

I understand, location is everything. But, for a little more than a half a million dollars, you could have a business in Jamestown, or a house in San Diego.

With home prices being unattainable for many people, we are looking at what you can get for your money in different parts of the United States. Real estate is very expensive, and the upkeep is too. I want to check out what we could get for less, come with me and check out these properties!

Staying at Home, Week 5 in Los Angeles

Week 5 of Los Angeles' Shelter In Place Order.
What have I been up to? Check it out!

I've been making the pizza dough Molly Yeh recommends, Making BBQ chicken pizza, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, using the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce from Trader Joe's.

Alex has been sewing face masks, we found the pattern here: https://hellosewing.com/face-mask-sewing-pattern/
Using the Rifle Paper Co fabric, chevron, zebra, and more.

Time lapse of us making the pizza's, Alex's is first out of the oven.

I tie dyed a t-shirt ombre, and a sweater into clouds!! Even toms shoes, too.

I had ramen for lunch more than once, and the Winchell donuts were super fresh!!

When I redid the sisal part of the cat tree, I edited a tribute to Molly Yeh in there.

I am reading Crystals for Beginners and Love is in the Earth.

I started writing my cookbook after reading Jen Sincero's You Are A Badass, and I want to model my cookbooks after Ina Garten.

My aero garden has a lot of flowers and we will have tomatoes soon!!

So proud of myself for vlogging for 35 days straight!!

What are you up to during quarantine??

Shelter In Place, Week 4 in Los Angeles

This week,  we made pizza! What's new!
I made tuna for lunch, Tie-Dyed some t-shirts, socks, and a headband,
we had Olive Garden for Easter dinner,

Books this week:
Finished Rich Dad, Poor Dad and wanted to start Outliers, but instead, reached for Stay Calm...It's Just Real Estate by Egypt Sherrod. Also, started Crystals for Beginners.

I successfully ombre tie-dyed one tee, crinkle dyed two, and lightly dyed another tee. Socks came out great, but the headband needs to have another go! I want it to be more splotchy. I love the light, mint green tee, but even though the headband is a beautiful blue, I really want it to be crinkle dyed.

Also,  I made roast beef. Super easy if you have a Crock Pot.
Just get an Eye of Round Roast, freeze it, and put it in the crock pot with Lipton Onion Soup Mix, fill it with water and cook for 6-7 hours.

What are you cooking???

Who is the blogger/person who created the easy face mask from a bandana idea? It is not mine, I saw it on the news, but was unable to get the blogger's name. They just said it was a great idea, but didn't repeat her name! Help me out and let me know who she is in the comments below. This face mask made from just a bandana and two hair ties is GENIUS! She needs to be recognized!
I know it's not super protective, but the Mayor of LA has requested people wear face coverings when out. He said they do not have to be N95, or the medical masks, but just something covering our nose and mouth.
This can work with just a piece of fabric, and maybe a safety pin, if the fabric is slippery.

Shelter In Place LA, Week 1

Los Angeles's Shelter In Place order for the CoVid-19 Epidemic was announced on March 19th, and started March 20th. My Last day of marketing for my small company was the 20th.

We found a cool metal desk we repainted and are going to use as a table behind our couch. We make food at home like chicken parm (Sorry, no finished photos, I ate it!), tacos, and BLT's.
Walking around LA was crazy because I felt like I could walk in the street safely. No one was out. We went to the park, and I was able to get some fresh air, and Alex chipped/golfed into a bucket while everyone stayed far away from each other.
I love Kanoodle, do you???????

We played Monopoly, and I won, TWICE!
We also headed up the PCH to Neptune's Net, where we got take out and ate with the trunk open, facing the Pacific Ocean.
Also, with everyone stuck inside, I tried to record and post an extra long segment of the drive down the coastline, back to Santa Monica from Malibu.

I've been ending my evenings with a facial and a bath. I have a lot of facemasks. Everything from peel masks, to mud, to clay, to sheet masks - I have a lot and I need to go through them. So, I've decided to try to do one a day - is it too much? We will see! My skin is super sensitive, but everything I am using does not irritate my skin, so we will see how it goes. So far, so good for week one of the quarantine!!

I hope you all are taking care of yourselves and those around you.

STMT DIY Bath Bombs and Spa Set Gift with Instructions

I got the S.T.M.T. DIY Bath Bombs and Spa Set, but I could not find the Instructions.
Let's make some bath bombs and roller scents from essential oils!

This kit is $20 from Target.

Hi I’m Heather. I love food and fashion.
Welcome to my channel.
Subscribe on Youtube to keep up and hit the bell icon to be notified when I upload!

Instructions:

SINGLE COLORED ROUND BATH BOMBS:
By making your own bath bombs, you can create an
at-home spa experience! Mix together beautiful colors and
create awesome bath bombs that pop and fizz in your tub! Here is what you will need:
Bath Bomb Mold, Bath Bomb Mixture,
Baking Soda, Essential Oil, Mica Powder, Glitter (Optional), Dried Flowers (Optional),
Water (Not Included), Bowl (Not Included), Tablespoon (Not Included),
Teaspoon (Not Included)

Step 1: Gather your dry ingredients and get a bowl at least 8oz in size. Pour in 4
tablespoons and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Then, pour in 8 tablespoons of bath
bomb mixture (Image A). Mix thoroughly with your hands to break up any clumps
until all ingredients are blended. You can also add dried flowers; we suggest rose
petals (Image B).
Step 2: Add ½ teaspoon of the mica powder color of your choice into the mixture
and stir well. If you want to make a sparkling, glittery bath bomb, add ¼ teaspoon of
glitter to the mixture as well (IMAGE C).
Tip: For this step you may want to switch out your hands for a stirrer stick or spoon.
Step 3: Add oil to the mixture. Add 15 drops (or ¼ teaspoon) of the essential oil
of your choice and blend together. (IMAGES D, E).
Step 4: Add water to the mixture. Measure ¼ teaspoon of water. As you are
blending the mixture with one hand, slowly sprinkle the water into the mixture with
the other (IMAGE F).
Tip: To help the mold release cleanly, place plastic wrap (not included) inside the
mold before adding the bomb dough to the mold.
Step 5: Place the mixture into the mold. (Images G & H) Fill each side of
your mold with your mixture little by little, and continuously press it down with
your finger to ensure that it’s packed in tightly. Fill each side all the way up to
the edge and press hard with your finger until you cannot fill it anymore. Then,
pack a little extra in the middle of each side (do not pack this in tightly with
your finger), and press the two sides together tightly.
Step 6: Remove the bath bomb from of the mold. Let your bath bomb sit
inside the mold for one hour. After an hour has passed, gently squeeze the mold
and shake it a bit to release the bath bomb from the mold without breaking it.
(IMAGE I)

Step 7: Watch it pop and fizz! When you are ready to use one of your bath
bombs, simply drop it into a warm bath, and enjoy!

MULTI-COLORED BATH BOMBS:
Step 1: To create a multi-colored bath bomb, you need to make multiple
mixtures of each color in separate bowls. (IMAGE J)

For example, to make a two colored bath bomb, create a bath bomb mixture
with pink mica in one bowl, and create another bath bomb mixture with
purple in another bowl.
Tip: To help the mold release cleanly, place plastic wrap (not included)
inside the mold before adding the bomb dough to the mold.
Step 2: Fill the mold partially with the first color of your choice, and
then add another layer of different colored mixtures on top of the first
colored mixture. Do this over and over again until your molds are filled.
When you remove the bath bombs from the molds, you will see layers
with all of the different colors you used! (IMAGES K, L)

ROLLER AROMA OIL:
Here is what you will need: Roller Bottles, Sunflower Oil, Mica Powder,
Funnel, Essential Oils, Iridescent Glitter, Measuring Cup, Wooden Stick, Sticker Label
Step 1: Pour about 5ml of sunflower oil into your measuring cup. (IMAGE M)

Step 2: Select your favorite essential oil and pour a few drops into the
measuring cup.
Step 3: Select which color of mica powder you want to use, and sprinkle as
little or as much as you’d like inside. You can also sprinkle in some iridescent
glitter. (IMAGE N)
Step 4: Mix contents together using your wooden stick until they are fully blended.
Step 5: Remove the roller ball from the top of your bottle, and use your funnel to
pour the contents inside. Pop the roller ball back on once filled. (IMAGE O)
Step 6: Select a sticker label and adhere it to your roller bottle.
