DIY: Upgrade Your Address Book with fabric and homemade mod podge!

Recovering your old address book is so much easier than re-writing them into a new address book. As you know from the stool I revamped, I really like this rainbow mustache fabric from Riley Blake. The first thing you need for this project is Mod Podge. You can find out how to make it here, or you can grab some from the craft store, but I warn you it can be expensive.

Tools:
Mod Podge
Fabric cut to size
Clamps for the corners
A paintbrush
A plastic card (Use a grocery club card!)

Craft Tips:
Only do one side at a time, but mod podging the binding of the address book with each side, so that it has been glued twice.
The binding will have the most movement, so do not soak it, but just paste it down.
Using the plastic card, push the extra mod podge off. Start at the binding and move toward the edge.
Take the clips off the edges when it is about 3/4 of the way dry.

Have fun!!

Bling at a Baby Shower!

Check out the bling I won at my best friend's baby shower! I found a plastic baby in my drink and I won this fantastic necklace! It is so beautiful and I am so happy I have something to remember the baby shower by! Now, every time I wear it, I can remember this special moment in our lives. The moment before she becomes a Mother. Becoming a Mother is forever. It is something you cannot change. A blessing in life that you will forever hold in your heart.
I am so happy for her. She has been my friend since Elementary School and I kind of went a little crazy buying her daughter everything I could afford!
The shower was beautiful and I ended the day hanging out on the porch swing in my parent's backyard. What a day!

I just can't get enough!

Bacon!

I just made another pound of bacon and this time, I used the grease to fry an egg for my BLT.

I put it on the new Hawaiian hamburger buns and made some Ore Ida tater tots.

It was delicious! After I was done frying the bacon, I simply dropped an egg into the grease and fried it up! The first bite into a fried egg is simply the best. The yolk oozes out and drenches the sandwich between your fingers. The sweet Hawaiian bread was perfect to balance out the salty bacon and egg.

All in all, one of the best BLT's I have made in a long time!

What do you put on your BLT's to make them super good? Do you use a certain kind of bread or do you fry an egg? Let me know in the comments below!
